We aim to encourage children to develop their basic skills and physical competence including running, jumping, throwing and catching as well as developing balance, agility and co-ordination and begin to apply these in a range of activities.

Children develop a healthy respect for exercise and fitness, supported by an enjoyment and love of sport and games. Children are encouraged to participate as part of a team and engage competitively to promote self-confidence and self-esteem.

We create opportunities for children to be physically active by allowing children to participate in after-school sports clubs as well as PE lessons taught by both children’s class teacher and a trained PE coach.
