Rights Respecting School

Elmwood Infant School is proud to be a UNICEF Gold – Rights Respecting School.

A UNICEF Rights Respecting School is a community where children’s rights are learned, taught, practised, respected, protected and promoted. Children’s rights are at the heart of our curriculum as we want children to be the best they can be (Article 29 – Education must develop every child’s personality, talents and abilities to the full). Throughout the year, children learn about the convention and their rights, work on projects that raise awareness of these rights and others and fundraise for children in need across the world.

In April 2021, our Gold Award was renewed for another 3 years!

In 2019 we appeared on ITV London News as we went to Stamford Bridge to Show Racism the Red Card.
