At Elmwood Infant School, we use Evidence Me to strengthen the partnership between home and school. This secure online platform allows teachers to share your child's learning through photographs and observations, while also providing an easy way to communicate with families.

Nursery and Reception (EYFS)

In Nursery and Reception, children learn through play, exploration and first-hand experiences. Teachers use Evidence Me to capture significant moments of learning, showing how children are developing, becoming more independent and applying new skills.

Observations may include photographs and/ or short written comments that celebrate achievements across all areas of learning. They help build a picture of your child's progress over time.

Please remember that not every activity or piece of work will be photographed. Many assessments are made through daily interactions and observations that happen naturally throughout the school day. Teachers carefully select moments that best demonstrate your child's learning and development.

Years 1 and 2 (Key Stage 1)

In Key Stage 1, Evidence Me continues to be used to share photographs of learning across the National Curriculum. You may see children taking part in practical maths, science investigations, art, PE, history, geography and other curriculum activities, as well as occasional examples of classroom work.

As children complete more written work, most assessment takes place in their books or folders, so Evidence Me provides snapshots of learning rather than a complete record.

Sharing Learning from Home

We love seeing children's achievements outside school too. Whether your child has learned a new skill, enjoyed a family activity or is proud of something they have accomplished, you are encouraged to upload photographs and comments. These help us celebrate learning beyond the classroom and strengthen the partnership between home and school. Children always enjoy sharing their home learning with their classmates.

Evidence Me is designed specifically for schools and early years settings. The platform is secure, GDPR compliant and ensures that your child's information is protected. We encourage all parents and carers to activate their account so they can receive observations, messages and important updates throughout the year.
