Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
At Elmwood Infant School, we are committed to ensuring that every child feels valued, included and able to thrive within our school community. Our inclusive ethos is underpinned by high expectations for all pupils, a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum, and a commitment to identifying and removing barriers to learning at the earliest opportunity. We work closely with parents, carers and external professionals to ensure that children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) receive the support they need to achieve their full potential.
This SEND Information Report explains how Elmwood Infant School identifies, supports and makes provision for pupils with SEND. It outlines the graduated approach we use to meet individual needs, the support available within school, how we work in partnership with families, and how we evaluate the effectiveness of our provision. The report should be read alongside the school's SEND Policy and other information available on the Elmwood Infant School website.
The purpose of this report is to help parents and carers understand how children with SEND are supported at Elmwood Infant School and how we promote participation, achievement and wellbeing for all learners.
You can view our SEND policy on our school policies page.
