Celebrating Anti-Racism with a Special Visitor!
We were honoured to welcome Sarah Jones, our local MP, to our school this week to celebrate our continued success in the Show Racism the Red Card campaign.
Our school has proudly won a prize in this national initiative almost every year for the past 15 years, and Sarah Jones personally wrote to our 2024 winners to congratulate them on their achievement. Her visit was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the passion and commitment our children and staff have for promoting equality and standing up against racism.
During her visit, Sarah spoke with our Year 2 children, who impressed her with their thoughtful questions and understanding of fairness and respect. She also met with our School Council, who didn’t shy away from asking some tricky questions about leadership, community, and how we can all make a difference.
Sarah was incredibly impressed by our school’s ethos and the way we embed anti-racism into our everyday learning. She praised our pupils for their confidence, compassion, and commitment to making the world a better place.
We are so proud of our children and staff for continuing to lead the way in promoting inclusivity and kindness. Thank you to Sarah Jones for taking the time to visit and celebrate with us!
