As part of our whole school focus promoting good emotional and mental wellbeing we have planned some special events this term.
Wear something yellow on Thursday 10th October and help raise vital funds for YoungMinds on World Mental Health Day.
The children could wear their PE shirt or a small splash of colour like, a hair band, badge or sock. Alternatively, they could dress like sunshine from head-to-toe!
Bring a contribution of up to £1 and together we can show young people they are not alone with their mental health.
Have a look at https://youngminds.org.uk/get-involved for more information.
Fantastic FRED comes to School on Friday 11th October
The children will take part in an interactive, live performance where Fantastic Fred and his professor will teach children how to look after their own emotional and mental health in a positive and memorable way.
This resource has been developed by the NHS in Kent, with assistance from teachers and educational psychologists.
If you would like to know more about it have a look online at: https://goodmentalhealthmatters.com/for-primary-schools
A photographer from South West London NHS will be taking pictures of the event. Please let your child’s class teacher know if you do NOT want your child to be photographed.
