Admissions for 2020-2021 closed on 15th January 2020. The information posted below is for information only. Details on how to apply for entry for school Year 2021-22 will be made available as soon as we get it.

Admission for Reception Classes – School Year 2020 – 2021
(For children born between 1st September 2015 – 31st August 2016)

If you child was born between 1st September 2015 and 31st August 2016 you can apply for a place for your child to start Elmwood Infant School’s Reception class from the school year 2020 – 2021. To apply for a place you must complete a form. This form has to be completed by the parents of the child applying for a reception place. The easiest and most efficient way to apply is to do so online at If you apply online, the outcome of your application can be viewed online.

Completed forms must be returned by Tuesday 15th January 2020

Admission for Nursery Classes – School Year 2020 – 2021
(For children born between 1st September 2016 – 31st August 2017)

If you child was born between 1st September 2016 and 31st August 2017 you can register for a place at our Nursery. Nursery application forms can be completed at the school office between 9.30am – 11.30pm on a Tuesday.

Before you come to the school to apply please make sure you bring the following: Child’s FULL birth certificate and proof of your home address (Mortgage agreement, council tax letter or tenancy agreement).

Year 2 (Infants) to Year 3 (Junior) Transfer

If your child is currently in Year 2, you must apply by 15th January 2020 for a junior school place.

Key points to remember:
There is no automatic transfer from Elmwood Infant School to Elmwood Junior School (or any other Junior School)
– Carefully read the admissions criteria for the junior school(s) that you wish to apply for,
– Junior schools give priority within their admissions criteria to children who are on the roll of their linked infants school.
