Admission for Reception Classes – School Year 2020 – 2021
(For children born between 1st September 2015 – 31st August 2016)
If you child was born between 1st September 2015 and 31st August 2016 you can apply for a place for your child to start Elmwood Infant School’s Reception class from the school year 2020 – 2021. To apply for a place you must complete a form. This form has to be completed by the parents of the child applying for a reception place. The easiest and most efficient way to apply is to do so online at http://www.croydon.gov.uk/admissions. If you apply online, the outcome of your application can be viewed online.
Completed forms must be returned by Tuesday 15th January 2020
Admission for Nursery Classes – School Year 2020 – 2021
(For children born between 1st September 2016 – 31st August 2017)
If you child was born between 1st September 2016 and 31st August 2017 you can register for a place at our Nursery. Nursery application forms can be completed at the school office between 9.30am – 11.30pm on a Tuesday.
Before you come to the school to apply please make sure you bring the following: Child’s FULL birth certificate and proof of your home address (Mortgage agreement, council tax letter or tenancy agreement).
Year 2 (Infants) to Year 3 (Junior) Transfer
If your child is currently in Year 2, you must apply by 15th January 2020 for a junior school place.
Key points to remember:
– There is no automatic transfer from Elmwood Infant School to Elmwood Junior School (or any other Junior School)
– Carefully read the admissions criteria for the junior school(s) that you wish to apply for,
– Junior schools give priority within their admissions criteria to children who are on the roll of their linked infants school.
