Virtual Tours of our school
Due to the covid-19 (coronavirus) pandemic we will be offering virtual tours of our school. We are developing our virtual tour website page and it will be available to view very shortly. Please keep checking back for when this page is available to view. 

Admission for Reception Classes – School Year 2021 – 2022
(For children born between 1st September 2016 – 31st August 2017)

If you child was born between 1st September 2016 and 31st August 2017 you can apply for a place for your child to start Elmwood Infant School’s Reception class from the school year 2021 – 2022. To apply for a place you must complete a form. This form has to be completed by the parents of the child applying for a reception place. The easiest and most efficient way to apply is to do so online at If you apply online, the outcome of your application can be viewed online.

Completed forms must be returned by Tuesday 15th January 2021

Admission for Nursery Classes – School Year 2021 – 2022
(For children born between 1st September 2017 – 31st August 2018)

If you child was born between 1st September 2017 and 31st August 2018 you can register for a place at our Nursery. 

Please check this website, or contact the school office from October 2020, to find out how to apply for a place in our nursery. 

Before you come to the school to apply please make sure you bring the following: Child’s FULL birth certificate and proof of your home address (Mortgage agreement, council tax letter or tenancy agreement).

Year 2 (Infants) to Year 3 (Junior) Transfer

If your child is currently in Year 2, you must apply by 15th January 2021 for a junior school place.

Key points to remember:
There is no automatic transfer from Elmwood Infant School to Elmwood Junior School (or any other Junior School)
– Carefully read the admissions criteria for the junior school(s) that you wish to apply for,
– Junior schools give priority within their admissions criteria to children who are on the roll of their linked infants school.
