Safer Internet Day

Today is Safer Internet Day. The theme for this year is ‘An internet we trust’ and is thinking all about whether the information we receive online is always true. Please talk to your child about staying safe online and what to do when they are faced with something they are not comfortable with. Attached are a number of links to different websites which talk about how to stay safe online as well as a guide for parents.

Articles 16 and 17 of the Rights for Every Child talks about accessing reliable information safely and also the  child’s right to privacy. Please go through the Internet Safety PDF linked to rights which provides activities to support understanding this year’s theme.
You can also create a poster  to share with us thinking about ways to stay safe online.

Have a good day and stay safe online!
